Is QuStream publicly traded?
QuStream is not listed on stock exchanges, but you can invest.
As mentioned on the What Is QuStream page, QuStream relies on a decentralized network of nodes distributed around the world. Decentralized networks are a mechanism that have supported the creation and security of blockchains like Bitcoin and Ethereum, and QuStream adopted this model as well.
This means that there is a QuStream crypto token, called QST, which is currently bought and sold on the Solana crypto network. When QuStream gets paid by its customers it takes a portion of those earnings and buys the QST token to pay the node operators, so unlike other crypto projects the token is regularly supported by a direct influx of value from outside the network.
Where to Buy the QST token
If you choose to buy QST, you can currently find it on the Solana blockchain. You can set up a Phantom Wallet or a Solflare Wallet (desktop | mobile) and use options within these applications to buy Solana (SOL) or if you're used to dollar increments then you can buy U.S Dollar Coin (USDC).
If you want to buy more than the wallet will allow, you may need to go through a Coinbase account and do a wire transfer, buy SOL or USDC there, and then send it to your Phantom Wallet or your Solflare Wallet.
Once that purchase has gone through then you can swap that token for QST.
Sometimes scammers create coins that look like what you want, to trick you into giving them your token. The best way to be sure you're buying the right thing is to look up the token you want to buy and get the contract address (the official unique identifier). You can find the QST contract address by searching for "contract" on the QuStream token page on CoinMarketCap or on CoinGecko. If you copy the contract address from that page and paste it into the token search in your crypto wallet you will only get back one result: The actual, official QST token.
The QST token will not be hosted on the Solana blockchain permanently. QuStream is working with Ankr/Asphere to build out a dedicated QuStream Layer 1 blockchain for independent functioning. Once this is complete (anticipated in 2026), the QST token will be migrated to the new blockchain (one to one, i.e., 1 Solana blockchain QST = 1 QuStream blockchain QST). In order to maintain your holdings through a migration there are typically steps each token owner needs to take.
